Capoeira Dance Workout
with Mestre Wilson Low and Rhonda Stagnaro Low
Capoeira is a unique dance art form, which has strong roots in Afro-Brazilian music and dance. It is an excellent physical activity for all ages and levels. Its harmony of forces promotes flexibility, endurance, self-discovery and power. Capoeira dance also develops personal discipline, self-confidence and balances the mind, body and soul. The main goal of this high-energy class is to have fun and learn the secret of the "Capoeira smile".

Champagne Pilates

Work-a-day blues getting you down? Finding it hard to stick to your Friday workout? Champagne Pilates combines the workout you need with the drunken slackery you crave! 45 minutes of intense, focused, strengthening Pilates, followed by 15 minutes of boozin' and laughs with your fellow Pilates compatriots.

Working through simple, focused sequences, we find and correct imbalances of weakness and undue tension. Improved posture provides for increased strength , flexibility, and a whole new confidence! Lunch Hour Boot Camp

This intense fitness bootcamp is a great way to break through plateaus, set and stick to goals, and see FAST results! Classes are small, rigorous, challenging to all levels, and fun. Class meets Friday from 12-1pm, and will run on 6-week cycles, to allow you to set a timeline and stick to it.

Vinyasa Yoga

Christie teaches Vinyasa Yoga and challenges students to open their physical body and deepen their mental awareness, moving toward balance. Vinyasa yoga synchronizes ujjayi breath with a fluid sequence of poses building internal heat to cleanse the body and ultimately the mind.

Hip Hop Fusion
with Cera
A mixed level class fusing Hip Hop, Funk, and Jazz. This pulse-racing class is all about building your own dance style using two of dance's favorite styles, Jazz and Hip Hop. Students will learn strong technique masked in the fun and funk of hip-hop and jazz. After a strong warm up and conditioning, the class will do across the floor work followed by a high-energy yet accessible combination that will give you a workout and have you workin' it.
 
Mixed Level Contemporary
with Sara Templeton
Mixed level contemporary is the perfect class for students looking to set a solid foundation for their technique while still getting to really dance! Movement is geared towards the luscious and the dynamic, with particular focus on building strength, balance, and body awareness. This class allows the less experienced dancer to challenge themselves, and the experienced dancer to practice higher attention to detail and artistry. Advanced Tribal Bellydance
with Cera
Advanced Tribal Fusion will include conditioning, isolations, and drills for layering, combo building, and choreography. This is a class designed for advanced/professional level dancers, or intermediate level dancers looking to push their skills to the next level!

* Advanced Tribal Fusion is offered to students in the Shoebox Studio Troupe at the discounted rate of $10/class.
 
American Cabaret Bellydance
with Nanna
This Multi-Level class entails explanation and training in essential Belly Dance movements such as; principal steps, isolations, accents, shimmies, variations, combinations, and transitions. Classes also incorporate strengthening and conditioning stretches and exercises, short dances, and musical recognition. Not your standard form of American Cabaret, Nanna constructs her method based on a classic, down-to-earth, and distinctive style all her own.
 
Dark Fusion Bellydance
with Ariellah
Ariellah's belly dance classes are tribal fusion and dark fusion oriented and revolve around yoga, muscle strengthening, and drills. She pays close attention to technique, posture and creating an environment where the student gains full knowledge of the movements and works toward strong and precise arm, chest and hip work. In her class students also learn a choreography over a 6 week period.
 
Funk Fusion Bellydance Combos
with Cera
This high-energy class builds on the foundations learned in our mixed level and beginning classes. Layering, Combos, fast-paced choreography, and fusion spanning from hip hop to classical Persian forms challenge your rhythm, musicality, and body awareness in every class. Great for an Intermediate level dancer, or advanced beginner looking to push their skills to the next level!

Fusion Bellydance Drills and Basics
with Gibson Pearl
Fusion Bellydance Drills & Basics explores the rhythm, isolations, and nuances of Tribal Fusion bellydance. Every class starts with a warm-up session of stretching and conditioning, followed by drills and breakdowns of moves and transitions. While the focus will be on technical stuff, there will be dancing at the end of every class for musicality and rhythm training--and for fun, of course!
